When we look at the highlights of the Indian Union Budget 2019 the government’s intention to strengthen national infrastructure seems a top priority. From allocating Rs. 94.071 crore in 2019-20 to Indian Railways, suggestion of Rs.5,000,000 crore to improve the railways infrastructure between 2018-2030, and an investment of Rs.10,000,000 crore in infrastructure in the next five years, apart from various other plans, the government is really pushing the country’s infrastructure health. Owning to these steps a surge in investments in the infrastructure sector and growth in the real estate sector, the construction equipment market in India is expected to expand to a CAGR of over seven percent till 2023, up from its 2017 value of Rs.210 billion.

Helping build India through its hundreds of construction equipment and decades of industry experience is Appolo Cranes Pvt. Ltd. Founded by Arun Mahajan in 1988, who has over 35 years of experience and knowledge in the field of crane hiring and trading in the SouthEase Asian market, the company today needs no introduction. One can easily rent the cranes following few steps send enquiry, receive quotation, crane inspection & approval and mobilization.

Such perseverance and dedication is what led the company travel a journey that is worth watching from just one Hydra in 1988 to acquiring 60 hydraulic telescopic and crawler cranes in 2019 and having them deployed at different sites across India Bangladesh and Nepal. Due to its trait of accomplishing projects much before time and without any casualty, the company has received various recognitions from clients like the Best Corporate Customer Citation from SANY and is crowned with King of Cranes title.

The Legacy Continues
Having already established the name in the industry, Appolo Cranes is witnessing a management strengthening with Sonarika Mahajan(Arun’s daughter) and Nikhil Poonacha (Arun’s son-in-law) joining the forces with Arun. Acting as the driving force with new ideas and processes, together, they take care of the rental and contract side of the business and are steering the business in new and innovative ways. On the other hand, Arun considers his team of 100 as his family and hence retaining around 70 percent of them, some of whom have been with the company since the last 25 years. The true magic lays in the way they all come together to celebrate togetherness either on Diwali or on Holi. This gala time together helps cement the bond further.

Talking about Appolo Cranes’future a diversification plan is underway in the name of ‘Appolo Satnam Construction Pvt. Ltd’. Further Arun looks forward to strengthen his fleet of cranes and acquire a 1000 metric tons capacity of crane to help secure its position even further in the niche market.
