Founder & CEO
The challenge is set apart; Claim Genius has emerged as a global leader in transforming how vehicle inspections are done across the world. Headquartered in Edison, New Jersey, with development centers in Pune, Nagpur, and Hyderabad, the company applies leading-edge AI to rethink inspections across insurance underwriting, claims processing, leasing and rentals, transportation, salvage, and recycling.
Its GeniusAI platform offers end-to-end automation that outpaces traditional models with real-time assessments, consistency in the highest accuracies, and scalability to support millions of inspections annually. In so doing, Claim Genius deconstructs subjectivity and quickens decision-making to redefine operational efficiency for insurers, OEMs, garages, and fleet operators around the world. “AI is no longer an add-on in the inspection process it is the foundation for speed, trust, and transparency”, says Raj Pofale, Founder & CEO, Claim Genius.
A Personal Challenge That Sparked a Worldwide Disruption
The idea for Claim Genius was born from a deeply personal experience when the founder’s wife met with an accident in 2017–18 and the inspection-to-repair process stretched over six weeks due to repeated follow-ups and manual assessments. This inefficiency brought to the fore an urgent need for a scalable and data-driven method to evaluate damages without human dependency.
That very moment brought forth a vision of an AI-powered inspection system that could produce instant, reliable estimates with nothing more than photos or videos taken from any device. Today, its GeniusAI platform, trained on over 100 million global images, is able to deliver consistent assessments for more than 95 percent of vehicles across North America, Europe, Asia, and Southeast Asia.
Claim Genius leads beyond conventional inspections by integrating deep-learning-based damage detection, smart recognition of internal damaged parts, automated decoding of VINs, license plates, and odometers, and intelligent classification of damages to more than 200 internal and external components.
Its hybrid touchless workflow is designed to support every stage of the vehicle lifecycle-from underwriting and claim estimation to
remarketing and recycling-providing a single integrated platform to insurers and automotive businesses that adapts to diverse operational systems through API-based, white labeled deployment. Much of this evolution has come courtesy of strategic partnerships.
This includes deals with OEC in the U.S., Mitchell and GT Motív in Europe, Budmo and Tata Motors in India, and MRC in Southeast Asia that provide real-time access to OEM pricing, labor schedules, repair procedures, and regulatory data. The result is an ecosystem that makes sure the estimates from the platform remain accurate, contextual, and globally scalable.
Operational Impact & the Promise of Next-Gen Automation
Claim Genius ensures speed, accuracy, and touchless reliability by combining vast data sets, expert-curated training, and high-performance computing infrastructure built on AWS, Oracle, and Azure. Its systems process 25- 30 images per claim in about ninety seconds and generate comprehensive damage reports that are on par with the quality of human inspection, without bias or variability.
The system achieves accuracy of more than 90 percent across all models of sedans, SUVs, pickup trucks and hatchbacks with its advanced detection capability for dents, scratches, tears, misalignments, and internal impact zones. These capabilities translate into significant business impact-insurers and automotive enterprises using it reports nearly 57 percent reduction in operational costs and up to 80 percent improvement in claim processing efficiency. Tasks that used to take weeks from inspection to final settlement are getting completed in hours, thus allowing rapid approval cycles and smooth customer experiences.
Currently, the platform is deployed across five countries, including all major Indian public sector insurers, a number of private insurers, global OEMs, and large enterprise garages, collectively processing more than a million claims per annum. Data privacy and regulatory compliance maintain a pivotal position in the company’s infrastructure. Claim Genius is ISO-certified, GDPR compliant, ensuring complete data isolation for each customer instance with region-specific hosting to maintain jurisdictional integrity. Going forward, the company will be developing its proprietary LLM ecosystem while integrating IoT solutions, agentic AI for workflow automation, and decision-support frameworks. These changes are targeted at taking the inspections beyond pure damage detection to comprehensive ecosystem intelligence for insurers, fleets, and automotive service providers.
Claim Genius has earned deep trust and confidence from its customers, enabling them to confidently offload their end-to-end claim settlement processes while keeping a Human-in-the-Loop for oversight and assurance. With its advanced AI engine, Claim Genius is redefining the future of claims by Humanizing AI, combining automation at scale with expert human validation where needed. This balanced approach not only delivers accuracy and efficiency but also sets a benchmark for how AI should be deployed to overcome change-management challenges across large organizations.
Through this full-service, AI-powered operational model, Claim Genius has transformed the claims workflow across all four major PSU insurers in India, dramatically accelerating processing, improving consistency, and modernizing customer experience at every step.
Future Vision
Looking ahead, Claim Genius endeavors to become the world’s most comprehensive AI inspection company in segments such as housing, two-wheelers, commercial vehicles, and industrial assets. Building on this momentum, with a powerful global footprint and a team of 150 technology and insurance specialists, it will be committed to expanding its AI ecosystem for deeper market penetration and furthering automation beyond visual inspection. In its roadmap are efforts to expand product capabilities, including stronger global partnerships and continuous advancement in the development of AI models to serve emerging mobility markets.
