The firm based out of Kolkata, was initially started as S.R Chaudhuri and Associates, a proprietary firm in the year 2007 and later transformed into a private limited company in 2015.

SRCC is managed by professionals having a collective experience of working in Indian Railways at different disciplines. As a result of this, the indepth experience of SRCC is pooled to provide inputs required in project planning railway transport, project management solution, detail design civil & electrical engineering consultancy, as well as signaling & telecommunication engineering. The consultancy firm covers engineering works for railway infrastructure that includes setting of wagon factory, expansion of major railway workshops, final location survey for new railway line, developing new Railway siding facilities, design of Metro Systems and many others. SRCC has in its fold renowned railway engineers with vast experience in various departments of railway such as retired Chief Operations Manager, Principal Chief Engineer and Chief Electrical Engineer, among others. At present the company is in a position to take-up turnkey Greenfield projects of railway infrastructure from the stage of survey to preparation of report approval, detail design, execution and commissioning on EPC contract basis.

In the last decade, the Indian Railways witnessed a significant leap in the automation and digitization of Signal & Telecommunication services from its manual use. SRCC had implemented consulted and advised its clients in installing highly sophisticated automation and digital
systems for their railway infrastructure projects. Systems like Programmed Logic Controls(PLC) Signal Interlocking, and Digital Relay Transmission Systems have been successfully installed under the guidance and consultancy of SRCC for CHP projects, steel industries, and logistics hub. The implementation of such automated systems has powered more efficient systems in respect to both time and money. By allaying some of the concerns of its clients regarding loading and unloading of their products, SRCC proposes a fully automated and digitally controlled OHE called Retractable OHE or Swinging OHE, to reduce its maintenance cost.

SRCC is currently registered as an approved consultant across most of the Indian Railway zones. The company aims to provide the most economic design with high reliability, professionalism, and speed. Some of the latest software that the company uses for design work includes Auto Cad 3D & 2D, Adobe Corel and Abode Illustrator for simulation presentation. “Laser plotters are used for high definition and precision printing for our final drawings, and also utilize DGPS, the latest technology of GPS, for our survey work,” says S.R Chaudhuri, Managing Director, SRCC.

SRCC has successfully carried out the work of a feasibility report for a new railway line connecting Krishnanagar and Nabadwip Ghat of West Bengal for 20km, including a major bridge over Hooghly River. In the last twelve years the company has provided consultancy for several projects for Indian Railway, other Public Sector Undertakings like RITES, IOCL, HPCL, RINL, NMDC, as well as infrastructure development projects for many private industries like Tata Steel, Tata Metaliks, Birla Corporation, JSW, L&T and Ambuja Cement.

For JSW Cement who needed an infrastructure in the form of a private railway siding for transporting raw materials and dispatch of cement, SRCC administered a field survey, prepared system design & detailed project report and also obtained approval from South Eastern Railway. After approval, SRCC provided JSW with detailed engineering for design, including OHE layout plan and signal interlocking plan as required. With a work culture sewed in integrity hard work discipline and professionalism SRCC foresees to project its revenue to Rs.4 crore for the upcoming 2019-20 financial year. SRCC has formed a subsidiary company namely ASC Infrastructure Pvt. Ltd.(ASCI) for construction works of railway siding, S&T, and OHE works enabling the company to take-up EPC contract for railway infrastructure including construction.

Having 36 years experience in Indian Railway, Chaudhuri has expertise in planning, designing, construction and rehabilitation of railway track, bridges, building, water supply and roads. He also has three years experience in construction and commissioning of Kolkata Metro underground system and four years experience in IRCON International for planning, designing, and construction of Saudi Railway Diesel Loco Workshop in Saudi Arabaia.
