Today, the students are going to business school more and more to learn how to start their dream business. There are several benefits to becoming your boss, but being a successful entrepreneur requires dedication, resourcefulness, and an effective execution plan. Going to the right business school will improve their entrepreneurial abilities and encourage the students to put their ideas into the evaluation.

In 1995, the Entrepreneurship & Management Processes International - EMPI Business School Group, New Delhi, was founded by a group of nation-builders who were highly dedicated and accomplished professionals from the industry, government and the academia. Early in mid 1994, urged by CSKM Public School Chairman Lt. Col. Satsangi, VSM and Chairman Emeritus ITC Ltd., Ajit N. Haksar, Pankaj Saran conceptualized a blueprint to set up an institution to nurture giftedness in individuals to achieve excellence.

The concept gained momentum when former Director of BHEL, Sr. Management Consultant Commonwealth (UK) & President IEEMA Gurnam Saran, then associated as Managing Director in an American Consulting Group decided to return and stepped in as EMPI's founder President. Ajit N. Haksar was EMPI's Patron Chairman for more than a decade.

EMPI has a number of very successful centres of excellence led by legends of the field like Tara Sinha, the doyen of Indian Advertising, Dr. Udai Pareek, father of HRD in India and Fmr. Prof. IIM-A, P.S. Bami, former Chairman NTPC who became the Chairman of EMPI's expert Advisory Council and Dr. S. P. Verma, Director IIPA, the founder Dean and Director. Currently N. Vittal, IAS Retd. Fmr. Secretary, Dept. of Electronics and Telecomm, GoI and Ex. Central Vigilance Commissioner, also known as the enabler of India's IT revolution is EMPI's Patron Chairman. EMPI has a number of distinguished people in its board who are well known leaders in their own respective domains.

The Contemporary Gurukul
EMPI follows the distinctive `Modern Gurukul' philosophy of management and executive education and claims it is a melting pot of cultures, mindsets and many creative individuals working and living together to represent the vision of the future. EMPI lives by the philosophy that each `Shisya' is a unique learner, needing individual attention from their `Guru' for individual growth, enabling them not only to become excellent professionals, but also people who are socially responsible.
EMPI has been consistently ranked among the top 25 management institutions in the country and has been ranked top 10 for its intellectual capital. As a visionary academician, who has studied and experimented with learning processes Pankaj Saran, President, EMPIsays, "We are today getting a generation brought up in an Education system where they learn only when they taught! The focus is not on learning through curiosity, a unique human instinct but rote memorization where the fun of learning has been reduced to Kunjis or Keys. This model is totally defunct in today's Knowledge world where students have to become lifelong learners with an ability to self-learn for growth and excellence. Ironically in such a situation the attention span to acquiring serious knowledge has to compete with trivia on the social media!!

Known For Many Innovative Firsts In The Country
EMPI has pioneered many firsts in the country like setting up of India's first participative public policy forum, which was established under the Chairmanship of Justice Ranganath Mishra. As a part EMPI ran the first Manufacturing Policy Competition in India where a total of 167 organizations and institutions participated in this mega event including students and faculty who were involved in drawing up the draft Manufacturing policy of India. The final draft was released by the then Prime Minister Shri. Atal Bihari Vajpayee and presented to the then Union Industries Minister, Shri Arun Jaitley. Not only did this influence policy discourse in this sector, but countries such as Korea and Japan came forward to associate.

EMPI was also the first in the country to recognize organizational innovations and for the first time brought Government, Corporate, Non-Corporate and Network of organizations in one platform to recognize and award innovations done by them. This was launched through EMPI's `Mission Innovative India' flagged off by the President of India, Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam. EMPI has worked closely with the Knowledge Process Outsourcing industry, NASSCOM and the Department of IT, Government of India to identify their training needs and consequently launched the for the first time in India, a PG level Research and Business Analytics programme to cater to the needs of the industry. EMPI has also been the first institution that has floated the concept of an innovation city and has addressed many issues that can impact the society and the country.

Recently EMPI has been one of the very few Institutions selected by Niti Aayog to set up a unique Atal Incubation Center. Under its Atal Incubation Centre, EMPI has conducted two of India's first International Initiatives. One was the Mobility Festival for students, start-ups, industry and government, supported by the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways, Govt. of India. The other is the Remote Monitoring, Evaluation, Diagnostics, Intervention and Analytics (REME-DIY) Innovation Grand Challenge for Incubation, Acceleration and Growth.
