Chandramani Upadhyay, CEO Traditional methods of advertising on print, broadcast, and postal media have always been prioritized in the healthcare industry. Before, marketers would release campaigns and cross their fingers, unable to make changes in realtime after the advertisements were live. Since people were less likely to take charge of their health, hospitals had an easier time filling bed. Patients did not avoid or postpone necessary surgeries due to financial concerns since healthcare was considerably more affordable than it is now.

In many ways, modern patients are unlike their forebears when it comes to receiving medical treatment. In addition, patients in the modern day may perform their research on the services they get, making them pickier than ever before. As a result, any healthcare facility worth its salt has to have on board an expert like Chandramani Upadhyay who can keep up with the ever changing landscape of healthcare marketing. Having worked in the Hospital & Health Care business for many years, Chandramani has proven expertise as a Vice President of Sales and Marketing. What inspired you to venture into the healthcare domain and what drives you today as an entrepreneur?
My career in health care began in 2001, making my total professional experience in the field about 20 years long. The field's potential, promising future, and promising development all inspired me to enter the healthcare industry.Providing highquality,
costeffective healthcare to as many people as possible is what inspires me to succeed in my current role.

How would you define Meditest Diagnostic as an organization and its position in the market? What is the unique proposition that your organization offers to the clients?
Since its establishment in 2016, Meditest has been a frontrunner among Kenyan and East African healthcare providers owing to its commitment to providing high-quality treatment across a wide spectrum of specialties. As of right now, we are providing our healthcare delivery services in the cities of Nairobi, Kisii, and Kampala, Uganda. Most of the businesses in our healthcare sector are hospitals, medical laboratories, and adult and paediatric daycare centres.

The challenge I faced was to dispel the perception that a smaller budget means less quality, and this was easily accomplished by raising public knowledge

Here at Meditest, we're dedicated to delivering exceptional healthcare to our clients. We have over 20 internationally-recognized specialists on staff, along with another 150+ medical professionals, allowing us to provide first-rate diagnosis, consultation, and care in over 20 different medical fields. Here, we use cutting-edge technology and caring care to provide our patients with the best possible outcomes.

What are the major challenges you have experienced in your journey so far? How did you overcome them and what did you learn from them?
The challenge was to dispel the perception that a smaller budget means less quality, and this was easily accomplished by raising public knowledge.

Going forward, what are the changes in market behavior that you anticipate, and what are the opportunities that you foresee?
In the past, medical professionals emphasized clinical research and implemented its findings into patient care. Fortunately, mindsets are shifting as patients gain a greater appreciation for the value of preventative care and medical attention. Thus, now is the time to take advantage of this premium, quick treatment opportunity so that you can get the care you need.

How do you update yourself with the latest technologies and trends in the healthcare industry?
My interactions with the Top-Notch Service providers (Diagnostic Equipment suppliers) are frequent enough that I could call them virtually every day.

In light of your strong experience in the healthcare domain, what advice would you give to budding entrepreneurs in this sector?
In my opinion, the government's attention should be redirected to the healthcare system as a whole, and doctors' roles within it should be elevated.
